Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
Covering the local agriculture community I grew up in for a trade publication.
How is social media changing news?
It's amplified the 24 hour news cycle, empowering people to have greater access to information, but also risk of info overload.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
That it is your duty to keep your audience informed to the fullest, equipping them to make decisions right for them.
Why did you become a journalist?
I found a regional magazine covering the agriculture industry, which I have connections with, and was brought on as a freelancer.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I love cycling, playing with my animals, knocking out a book from my library, and checking out new video games.
