Brian Denton, the King of New York.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm a big fan of pen and paper - I've got at least four notebooks on my desk at any given time. Technology wise, I love ClickUp too.

Why did you become a journalist?

I love storytelling, and started my career shining a spotlight on small towns and small businesses.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was the editor - but most of my time was spent printing out Douglas Adams quotes to hang on the walls.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I worked on a piece with Stuart Jameson (ViaTravelers) about hitchhiking through Europe. Stu thumbed it from Germany to Cambodia!

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Exploring Alberta and Wyoming or on my paint horse, Lyla.
