Why did you become a journalist?

By accident in 2012 when KCET Artbound producer Juan Devis asked me to do High Desert area reportage.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Hiking, camping or outdoors in general.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
