Interview

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I used to write things on word processors, that strange hybrid of computer and typewriter.

How is social media changing news?

It's making it faster and more collaborative. In truth, I think social media is bringing journalism back to what it once was.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Personally, via Twitter or e-mail. I am not one to read the rest of your pitch if you misspell something or I have no connection with you.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter, though Instagram is something I use personally a lot.

Why did you become a journalist?

I enjoy learning things every day and feeding my own personal curiosity. My father is a news junkie, and I think I inherited that trait.
