What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked voluntarily doing some work at the GMS academy and my first story was on WWE ... which at that time I had never watched in my life!
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes - although it wasn't a real one. Well it was, but it was for kids. Mine was a Barbie one from the '90s!
How is social media changing news?
I think younger people are becoming more socially aware and interested in the world around them. Sometimes the media can be scary, though.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To get the right story out into the world, and if it helps or inspires just one person, then my job is done.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I like to conduct interviews with insiders.

The basics: Pages, Word, CMS

Why did you become a journalist?
I have always liked storytelling through words, and am a little bit too obsessed with all things sport... So I thought, why not combine them?
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not, I only really fell in love with writing again in the last year or so.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Get stuck in and stay committed. Put together a portfolio or work for a reputable place for free to get your foot in the door.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time - I will always try to respond where and when I can.
What's your favorite drink?
Iced coffee, but homemade.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At some form of sports event, whether that be in London or around the world.

I really like publications that help me do my job properly... so the likes of The Athletic, ESPN, The Player's Tribune
