1 Introduction Sudan has experienced many challenges, including a two-decade civil war and the 2003 Darfur genocide. These events have caused the country to face severe humanitarian crises marked by widespread hunger, famine episodes, and the displacement of an astounding number of its citizens. These tragic events have contributed to the loss of over two million lives (1). For many years, the status of Sudanese refugees in Egypt has been a significant concern.
