What was your first job as a journalist?
I reported for Westchester Magazine as "The Nightfly" covering regional charity galas with politicians and newsmakers.

On-Air Commentators are an important component of the journalism ecosystem.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means that you are committed to pursuing the truth and sharing the story that no one else is telling.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
E-mail.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Microsoft Word.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter is the best social network for breaking news.
Who do you wish followed you?
I care about research and distilling information on complex topics.
Why did you become a journalist?
From an early age, I have always been an investigative journalist at heart. I love to investigate, research and find the truth.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
When I was younger, I created my own newspaper called "The Ruby Times"
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My cancel culture article and writing on brand activism.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Never let someone tell you who or what you are. Journalism is a mindset. Believe in yourself.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I save sources for future stories, particularly legal experts for analysis that can add to articles I have previously published.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Hanging with my Dog
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The social media/ free speech/ censorship debate is complex and content moderation is nuanced.
