Why did you become a journalist?
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to write. I knew I wanted to write for a living ever since.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did, but I was more on the yearbook side. I worked on the yearbook staff for all 4 years of high school and was the editor my senior year.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Expect to work hard, and learn from mentors in your field. There is so much to learn, and veterans can learn from you on new techniques, too.
When's the best time to pitch you?
On a Sunday evening.
What's your favorite drink?
Water. Specifically, Fiji water. I know, that sounds crazy, but I love it.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Outdoors, playing basketball or tossing a football with my son.
