Kristi Pahr’s Biography

If there's one thing I've learned over the past decade, it's that great content doesn't happen by accident.
It comes from good ideas, strong editing, clear processes, and people who care about getting the details right.
I've spent my career working across nearly every stage of the digital publishing process: writing, editing, commerce content, SEO, editorial QA, breaking news, feature stories, and collaborating with remote editorial teams to bring content from idea to publication. Along the way I've published close to 2000 verified articles for national publications and consumer brands including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fatherly, Parents, FinanceBuzz, Real Simple, Men's Health, and many others.

The part of the job I've grown to appreciate most isn't just writing. It's improving the work behind the scenes.
I enjoy figuring out how editorial teams can work more efficiently, documenting repeatable processes, improving quality, and finding ways to reduce busywork without sacrificing thoughtful editing. That's what drew me to AI long before it became an expectation in job descriptions. Today I use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI tools as part of my daily workflow to support research, outlining, editing, quality assurance, documentation, brainstorming, and process improvement. The goal isn't to replace editorial judgment, it's to give editors and writers more time to use it.

Earlier in my career I spent 15 years in veterinary medicine, including leadership roles in emergency and specialty hospitals. It was a very different profession, but it taught me lessons I still rely on every day: communicate clearly, trust good processes, stay calm under pressure, and remember that details matter.

I'm always interested in connecting with people working in digital publishing, editorial operations, branded content, commerce publishing, and AI-assisted content production, especially those who believe technology should make creative work better, not less human.
