Lies of the Needle
A spark in my veins, a scream in my chest, the world dissolves, but I’m never at rest. Time blurs into a haze of glass and pain, each high a promise that will never remain. My heart hammers like it’s begging to flee, lungs gasp in a rhythm I cannot see. and I trade my soul for a moment’s wage. Yet under the burn, a stubborn spark survives, the part of me that remembers being alive. The needle may reign, but it cannot own, the fractured spirit that’s still my own.

Inadequate interfragmentary compression can lead to post-operative complications. Methods: Lateral condylar fractures were simulated in 21 cadaver limbs (8 third metatarsals, 13 third metacarpals).
