Same family, different fate: Why Jio Platforms isn’t RPower redux
The initial public offering (IPO) of Jio Platforms set records on several fronts last week. It became the largest ever IPO in Indian market at ₹30,213 crore, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s ₹27,806 crore. The shares listed at ₹1,358 on both the NSE and the BSE — a 21.36 per cent premium to the issue price of ₹1,119 — delivering the best listing gains among mega-IPOs. Only LG Electronics India, with an IPO of ₹11,607 crore, fared better, returning 50 per cent on debut.
Broker’s call: Interglobe Aviation (Long)
Despite elevated fuel prices and the withdrawal of the ATF price cap, fuel cost per ASK declined 2 per cent q-o-q, contrary to the expected increase in unit fuel costs Target: ₹5,560 CMP: ₹4,870 IndiGo delivered a better-than-expected 2QFY27 performance, with revenue growing 26 per cent y-o-y to ₹23,360 crore, supported by a 34 per cent y-o-y increase in yield to ₹6.30.
Broker’s call: Suzlon (Add)
Suzlon received DevCo led 400MW EPC order from Tata Power and 202MW from Waaree group for S144 (3.15MW) WTGs Target: ₹40 CMP: ₹33.85 Suzlon Energy reported Q2-FY27 revenue of ₹4,900 crore (26 per cent YoY; 1 per cent JMFe/4 per cent consensus). However, EBITDA margin decreased to 15 per cent from 18.6 per cent in Q2-FY26 (versus JMFe and consensus at 16 per cent each) primarily due to a higher EPC mix. The quarter marked strong WTG deliveries of 710MW versus 565MW in Q2FY26.
