Purpose To compare safety and effectiveness of transarterial radioembolization (TARE) and transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) with drug-eluting embolic agents combined with percutaneous ablation (TACE+ablation) in treatment of treatment-naïve, unresectable, solitary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ≥3cm. Methods 29 patients with treatment-naïve solitary unresectable HCC ≥3cm received a combined TACE+ablation and 40 patients received TARE at a single institution.
