Kurtis Lee’s Biography

urtis Lee is a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Prior to joining The Times, Lee covered state and national politics at The Denver Post for three and a half years. While at The Post he was an anchor for Denver Post TV, the newspaper's daily video broadcast of top breaking news stories. In 2013, Lee was a member of The Post staff that won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News coverage of the Aurora theater shooting. Before reporting for The Post, Lee was an online writer for the PBS NewsHour in Washington, D.C. He attended Temple University, graduating cum laude in 2009 with a B.A. in journalism and political science. While not at work it's likely Lee's watching the Nuggets, Broncos or Rockies as he’s an avid Colorado sports fan.
