We can't say enough good things about this collab between skater-owned core shop Rose Street and big time shoe co. Converse CONS. On the eve of Rose Street's five year anniversary and the One Star's 50 year watermark, the two got together to do a shoe, a zine and a video. It's all so lovely. We teased it in previous posts, then this past Saturday night in Encinitas, the video premiered and the shoe dropped in a righteous evening full of skateboarding.
San Diego is generally devoid of culture. Our art shows are always either skate or surf-inspired. The music we’re known for is stoner rock and Blink 182. And our fashion sense revolves around what you could wear to the beach and out to dinner in the same day. So when Kyle Geldert sent over this video, most of the office was surprised to learn that they were Encinitas Poods Park kids because it didn’t feel like a typical SoCal video.
