How is social media changing news?

It's disrupting traditional flow of information, news breaks on SM and it allows you to engage and discuss.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

I mean, it's hard to top Clark Kent.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To examine truth.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

Recently, #InConservativePakistan.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Tableau 7, Google Fusion, endless SM platforms.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter hands down.

Who do you wish followed you?

The inventor of Sriracha (if he actually had a social media presence).

Why did you become a journalist?

I've always been curious as to how/why things, people and society work the way they do.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Unfortunately my high school did not have a student newspaper.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Practice, practice, practice. Network, network, network.
