Anisotropy of fracture and permeability in high-rank coal analyzed using digital rock physics
In this work, the DRP based on x-ray CT scanning was used to reconstruct the real digital microscopic structure of coal fractures through digital image processing and to quantify the fracture geometry, anisotropy, complexity, tortuosity, and permeability. Based on these results, the following conclusions were drawn, and the applicability and prospect of the DRP method in this study were summarized.
Separating RKKY interaction from other exchange mechanisms in two-dimensional magnetic materials
Abstract We developed an effective procedure to single out the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction from the other exchange mechanisms in metallic two-dimensional (2D) magnetic materials, and applied this procedure to study two prototypical systems, 2D CrS2 and Fe3GeTe2, using first-principles calculations. In particular, the RKKY interaction is nearly independent of the lattice size in a reasonably large range and the number of CrS2 layers.

The nature of spin excitations in the one-third magnetization plateau phase of Ba<sub>3</sub>CoSb<sub>2</sub>O<sub>9</sub>
In this article, we present a comprehensive study of magnon excitations in the 1/3 magnetization plateau phase of a quasi-two-dimensional (quasi-2D) TLHAFM with easy-plane exchange anisotropy. Our study combines NLSW theory with in-field inelastic neutron scattering (INS) measurements of Ba CoSb O . The Hamiltonian is where 〈rr′〉 runs over in-plane nearest-neighbor (NN) sites of the stacked triangular lattice and corresponds to the interlayer spacing (Fig. 1a).
