Charlotte Day Wilson - Cyan Blue
Charlotte Day Wilson’s “Cyan Blue” is a journey through a twilight dreamscape where rich, soulful melodies illuminate under a cyan moon. Wilson’s voice, on the lower end of a mezzo-soprano, is a decadent velvet caress against the ear, guiding you with a gentle hand. Set against her Toronto roots, this album serves as a testament to Wilson’s cosmopolitan range — her prowess as a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.
"Apple" By LA Priest
LA Priest releases his new EP La Fusion, featuring new single “Apple,” mixed by Alan Braxe. “Apple” is lyrically otherworldly, “a pep talk from an alien,” and harks back to the stories of spirits and imaginations of life on the ocean bed that were prevalent throughout Fase Luna, his 2023 album. “I wanted it to be enlightening even if the words don’t seem to make sense.” says Sam.

Superfan Debuts Twilight Living"
Superfan AKA: Kali Flanagan, shares his new single “Twilight Living.” The track is accompanied by a video directed by G.W. Sailor. The new song was written during a state of dissociation following a minor car accident. The single explores Flanagan’s experiences in LA through a state of hyper self-awareness, navigating the often superficial landscape without true emotional support and how it led to feelings of shame and a deep desire for anonymity.
Holly Humberstone Debuts Alternate Versions
Holly Humberstone releases alternate versions of her favorite songs from her album Paint My Bedroom Black, including new versions of “Cocoon” featuring singer/songwriter Medium Build and “Antichrist” featuring folk-pop group Tiny Habits. The new tracks follow the release of her recent collaboration with MUNA on “Into You Room.” “I first discovered Medium Build about a year ago whilst I was touring in the states,” recalls Humberstone.

LA Priest is the moniker of Sam Eastgate. A former member of UK dance-punk outfit Late of the Pier, he rose to prominence with his Connan Mockasin collaboration Soft Hair in 2016. His second solo album, GENE was released earlier this month. Frank Black – Los Angeles I really love how Frank Black writes songs that scream and whisper at the same time. Somehow didn’t discover this until recently. Colour Box – the moon is blue 1985, what a great year! Let’s bring back emotion in music.
Album Review: LA Priest - GENE
Writer/producer Sam Eastgate (aka Samuel Dust) cuts loose for his sophomore appearance as the ubiquitous bon vivant, LA Priest. A sparkling follow-up to his 2015 rural isolation project, Inji, this is Eastgate’s first solo release since the dissolution of his UK dance-punk outfit Late Of The Pier. GENE probes pop-electronic territories with the same expansive curiosity that fuelled his Soft Hair (2016) collaboration with Kiwi psych-funk “Jassbuster,” Connan Mockasin.
GENE LA Priest - Northern Transmissions
When I read that Sam Eastgate, also known Sam Dust, now known as LA Priest, had spent six months building a drum machine, I was skeptical. It felt like making homemade ketchup: sure you can do it yourself, but it’s an awful lot of work to make something that’s better from a factory. I stand corrected as GENE, the jaw-dropping beautiful masterpiece made by/with GENE, the drum machine, is one of the best things I’ve heard in a while.
