Meet the 2021 Register Star girls swimming and diving athlete of the year and the all-area team
The girls swimming and diving season ended with the Nov. 13 state finals, and this year the area and the NIC-10 were well-represented. But then they kept pushing, and had they kept the win in that event, and scored the same the rest of the way, the Vikings would have pulled off a one-point win.

The girls swimming and diving season was cut short last year because of COVID-19 restrictions, but this year is about to kick in with a complete regular-season schedule and a full state series scheduled. And there are plenty of local stars to keep an eye on. Hononegah won its first NIC-10 team title in program history last year with an undefeated regular season, and Byron claimed the sectional championship in the postseason.
