Cumulative incidence and factors associated with unfavorable tuberculosis treatment outcomes among people living with HIV in Liangshan, China: a competing-risk analysis
Abstract Background: Cure or treatment completion precludes a later unfavorable tuberculosis (TB) treatment outcome within the same treatment episode and should be treated as a competing event. We estimated the cumulative incidence and exploratory associated factors for unfavorable outcomes among people with HIV-associated TB in Liangshan, China. Methods: Aalen–Johansen cumulative incidence functions and Fine–Gray subdistribution hazard models were used.
Multifunctional Core–Shell Nanodiamond Stationary Phase for Open-Tubular Capillary Electrochromatography: Synergistic Interactions and Exceptional Joule-Heat Dissipation Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC) holds significant promise for microscale separations but is frequently constrained by trade-offs among phase stability, sample loadability, and the detrimental effects of Joule heating. Herein, we introduce carboxylated nanodiamond (C-ND) as a multifunctional stationary phase to address these challenges.

Essential role of CFAP77-CCDC105-TEX43 subcomplex in connecting axonemal A and B tubules for mammalian sperm motility
Abstract The assembly and physiological function of cilia and flagella depend on the stable association of A and B tubules, which form axonemal microtubule doublets (DMTs). CFAP77 encodes a core outer junction (OJ) protein within DMTs that is conserved across species and cell types. However, whether and how CFAP77 mediates the connection of B tubules to A tubules of DMTs in mammalian cilia/flagella are unknown.

Climatic interactions between cold surges in the South China Sea and North Pacific extratropical cyclones
1 INTRODUCTION Cold surges in the South China Sea (SCS) are one of the most prominent meteorological phenomena of the Northern Hemisphere winter (Chang et al., 2006; Chang et al., 2011; Lau & Chang, 1987) and occur when cold air originating at high latitudes penetrates lower latitude environments (Chang & Lau, 1980). Enhanced tropical convection has been observed immediately following the surges over the SCS within 1–2 days (Chang et al., 2005; Chang & Lau, 1980; Lim et al., 2017).

Cell-Penetrating Peptide TAT-HuR-HNS3 Suppresses Proinflammatory Gene Expression via Competitively Blocking Interaction of HuR with Its Partners
Discussion Regulation of proinflammatory cytokine/chemokine expression usually is achieved at both the transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels. Modulation of mRNA stability provides rapid and flexible control, and it is particularly important in coordinating the initiation and resolution of inflammation (41).
Cell-Penetrating Peptide TAT-HuR-HNS3 Suppresses Proinflammatory Gene Expression via Competitively Blocking Interaction of HuR with Its Partners

TAT-HuR-HNS3 blocks HuR cytoplasmic distribution and association with target mRNAs. TAT-HuR-HNS3 lowers proinflammatory mediators’ mRNA production.
