Larry Higgs’s Biography
I'm a reporter for NJ.com and the Star-Ledger covering transportation issue with an emphasis on commuting between New Jersey and New York. I'm a Jersey veteran, having worked at the Asbury Park Press, Courier-News and Daily Record in the past.
I'm a multi-modal traveler, using the type of transportation that works best at a particular time. As a wisened NJ Transportation Commissioner said, no one mode of transportation is the "silver bullet."
You will find me on buses, trains, bikes, e-scooters and biting the steering wheel in traffic on the Pulaski Skyway.
