I am an NCTJ qualified journalist, confident in acquiring stories and reporting on issues, both on a local and national scale. Skilled in shorthand and fast off the mark when a hot story comes my way, I am keen to write on a broad spectrum and concentrate my knowhow to a specific industry.
I have substantial experience by leading/editing shifts overnight and on weekends, managing a small team, regularly communicating with news editors, and assigning and editing stories.
I have developed skills in writing to various house styles and the use of online media upload software such as CMS. Stories are written to tight deadlines, with accompanying photographs and videos, on a variety of celebrity news.
As well as journalism, my administrative and catering experience have provided me with skills that can be utilised in many other job industries, both from a skill-based and social standpoint, such as social media marketing, telephone and email communication.
