What was your first job as a journalist?
I assisted the sports director at my college radio station.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I used a type writer when I was very young and in grade school. It was never for a serious assignment, and I would have been 8 years old.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Clark Kent.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means having the power to change the world.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use Facebook as one of my primary tools for getting scoops. I also use e-mail a lot to reach out to potential sources.
Who do you wish followed you?
Disability sport organizations.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Citizen journalism can be your friend.
