Litter in Washington County is a shameful problem - HeraldCourier.com: Opinion

This is my second letter addressing litter. It’s everywhere! There is not one single road in Washington County, Virginia, that has not been defaced by trash. Right now, you can travel Route 19 north toward Lebanon and see full plastic bags that have been tossed out along with all the smaller items as if this whole area was one big garbage dump. Same thing along Route 58 toward Damascus, all the way to White Top (a scenic route), which is heavily traveled by tourists. What an impression we must make.
