Laurie Bain Wilson’s Biography

As a longtime correspondent for The Boston Globe, I covered travel, food and lifestyle. I am a contributing writer to PBS/Next Avenue, NatGeoTravel, ShermansTravel, Travel Market Report and other outlets. I have also covered investigative topics for print and online publications and am an author of several books (non-fiction and fiction). And, for ten-plus years, I was the travel editor at a national magazine based in NYC, responsible for the largest travel section of any lifestyle magazine.
I was also a longtime contributor to OpenTable and, as a contributing writer at TravelChannel.com, (I was the site's New York City expert and wrote dozens of articles.) Additionally, I have written hundreds of articles for national newspapers, magazines and websites including Real Simple, CNN.com, Working Mother Magazine, Eat This, Not That, Chowhound, Roadtrippers, Campendium, The New York Times, Travel Market Report, New York Lifestyles Magazine, The New York Daily News, VinePair, Wine Enthusiast, Time Out NY For Kids, salon.com, travelmuse.com, Boston Herald, New England Travel & Life, Woman's Day, Parenting, Parents and more.
