Why did you become a journalist?
To fight prejudice and expose wrong-doing wherever I found it
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Go for it, it's a brilliant career providing an Access All Areas to moments in history others can only dream about.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Being invited to accompany the Army to Iraq/Afghanistan.

Ooh, got to be a G&T at sunset...
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Travelling off the beaten track or knee deep in mud hunting for Roman pottery... archaeology is my guilty secret!
