Interview

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, I own several - I did several elements of work during my architecture degree on them!

What does it mean to be a journalist?

I appreciate the opportunities I have to encourage learning and understanding of built heritage and craftsmanship.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm an Apple man - but in my work as a Conservation Consultant I'm PC based - so pretty much anything and everything.

What's your favorite social network?

Instagram - I'm a fan of aesthetics, so its the platform of choice for me. Old buildings very photogenic.

Why did you become a journalist?

As a building historian and conservation specialist I'm always keen to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for built heritage.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Whenever - I'm always open to options.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

Honestly, not sure.

What's your favorite drink?

A good German lager

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Working on renovating my Georgian/Regency home - a former farmhouse in Shropshire
