Why did you become a journalist?

I wanted to have a professional qualification in writing to accompany my academic degree.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Warmth and sunshine is a much better way to get somebody to remove their coat than an icy wind.

Between 7am and 11am

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That it's just about old photographs and the good old days
