Correlation analysis between tongue hyperspectral imaging and tongue coating microbiota and feasibility study for early screening of type 2 diabetes mellitus status
Abstract Objective: To investigate the feasibility of applying hyperspectral imaging technology combined with machine learning algorithms for early non-invasive screening of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: In this study, tongue images of 153 subjects were acquired using a hyperspectral imaging system. Concurrently, 53 tongue coating samples were collected for 16S rRNA sequencing. Spearman correlation analysis was performed between tongue hyperspectral data and tongue coating microbiota.

Complex IV inhibitors reprogram root growth and induce mitophagy in Arabidopsis
Abstract Electrons harvested from food are carried to the electron transport chain (ETC) to drive cellular energy production. The rate-limiting enzyme of mitochondrial ETC (mtETC/mETC) is cytochrome c oxidase (CcO)/Complex IV. Complex IV deficiency leads to severe human diseases and plant lethality, yet how Complex IV inhibition affects mitochondrial dynamics and cellular homeostasis remains unclear.
Identifying causal genetic variants for high-altitude adaptation through blood eQTL analysis in plateau populations
Abstract A substantial number of genetic variants have been associated with high-altitude adaptation (HAA), yet most of them are located in non-coding genomic regions, leaving their specific functions and underlying mechanisms largely unknown.
Computer Science > Artificial Intelligence
Chain of thought prompting improves complex reasoning, but its long intermediate traces create substantial inference cost and hinder practical deployment in financial settings. We present a Hierarchical Semantic Distillation Network, HSDN, for compressing reasoning chains while preserving answer accuracy and logical coherence.
