I think we have more dogs in our neighborhood than kids. Whenever we take our German Shepherd out for a stroll, little hairy faces populate in the windows of every other home, yapping, barking, steaming up the glass with doggy breath. As we walk, strangers will often remark, “Hey, that’s a good-looking dog!” My wife observed that the neighbors know our dog’s name better than our childrens'.
