Epigallocatechin Gallate From Tea Delays Oocyte Aging After Ovulation in Mice
1 Introduction Oocyte quality can be affected by chronic diseases, environmental pollutants, age, and gene mutations. Low oocyte quality can lead to subfertility/infertility in clinic. The ovulated oocyte begins to age if it cannot be fertilized timely.
Maternal obesity may disrupt offspring metabolism by inducing oocyte genome hyper-methylation via increased DNMTs
eLife Assessment This manuscript reports important findings on the impact of maternal obesity on offspring metabolism. It presents solid evidence that maternal obesity induces genomic methylation alterations in oocytes, which can be partly transmitted to F2 in females, and that melatonin is involved in regulating the hyper-methylation of high fat diet oocytes by increasing the expression of DNMTs via the cAMP/PKA/CREB pathway.
Radical alkylation of acrylamides with peroxides to access mono/dialkylated fused N-heterocycles
Radical alkylation of acrylamides with peroxides to access mono/dialkylated fused N-heterocycles A simple mono/dialkylation of acrylamide derivatives was finished, which gave diverse mono/dialkylated benzo[4,5]imidazo[2,1-a]isoquinolins or polycyclic coumarins with good substrate scopes. This system used common peroxides as alkylated reagents. Meanwhile, a series of scaled-up operations and mechanistic exploration well performed the application and reaction process of this cascade system.
Highly efficient and selective extraction of gold by fluorinated imine-based covalent organic polymer
Highly efficient and selective extraction of gold by fluorinated imine-based covalent organic polymer In consideration of the increasing demand for gold and the scarcity of mineral resources, this approach represents a promising avenue for the recovery of gold from secondary resources.
Maternal obesity may disrupt offspring metabolism by inducing oocyte genome hyper-methylation via increased DNMTs
Abstract Maternal obesity has deleterious effects on oocyte genome methylation establishment, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In the present study, we first find that maternal obesity induced by high-fat diet (HFD) disturbs genomic methylation in oocytes, and at least a part of the altered methylation is transmitted to F2 oocytes and livers via females.
Metal-free radical bicyclization/chloroalkylarylation of 1,6-enynes with chloroalkanes
Metal-free radical bicyclization/chloroalkylarylation of 1,6-enynes with chloroalkanes Free radical initiated bicyclization of 1,6-enynes with chloralkanes, which performed selective activation of the C(sp3)–H bond of chloralkanes, giving diverse polychlorinated/chlorinated polyheterocycles. Meanwhile, two kinds of applied studies and a scaled-up experiment were performed well to test the synthetic importance of organic chlorides.
Photo-promoted cascade cyclization of aryl alkynes: access to thiocyanate/trifluoromethylthio-featured quinolino[2,1‑b]quinazolinones
Photo-promoted cascade cyclization of aryl alkynes: access to thiocyanate/trifluoromethylthio-featured quinolino[2,1‑b]quinazolinones Photo-promoted cascade cyclization of aryl alkynes with NH4SCN has been reported for the construction of diverse SCN-revised quinolino[2,1‑b]quinazolinones. Meanwhile, SCF3-featured above fused cycles could also be obtained with high yields.
