Dehumidifiers | Whole House Dehumidifier | Small Dehumidifier
Ah, summer chores! There’s a lawn to mow, paint to touch up, a grill to clean. But there are summer maintenance concerns inside, too; namely, taming your home’s No. 1 enemy — moisture. Summer’s higher temps raise humidity levels in your home, and all that moist air can wreak havoc on interior walls and flooring. Too-high humidity promotes the growth of mold, mildew, and other allergens that take a toll on homeowners, too — especially asthma and allergy sufferers.

A Most Unique Museum
Field Trip By Marc Reyes and Libby Walker | September 13, 2019 First, we have to find the museum. After a 30-minute Delhi metro ride, starting on the Violet line and then transferring to the Magenta line, and after closely consulting Google Maps, we’re pretty sure we got this. It’s a museum, so signs are everywhere, right? Not so much. The metro gates lead us outside, and then we’re on our own. Our Hindi is limited, we’re only a few months into our year of living in India.
Foster kids just want to be loved
Busy making your Christmas list? Deciding which gadget will fit on your already overcrowded kitchen counter? Trying to decide which of the latest fashions and/or electronics to get your kids? We live in such abundance, even those of us who may feel “poor.” There is a poverty in our country that is unique and not always related to available resources. It is the poverty felt by children who do not have their basic needs met, either through neglect or ignorance or circumstances. kAm%96D6 49:=5C6?
Thankfulness begins with a good attitude
It has been quite a while since I wrote a column, and I actually thought that I might not have the time or the inclination to put my thoughts on paper to share with others. It is very easy these days to express oneself via social media outlets, and I think that is a good thing. Many have found the joy of expressing themselves publicly to a wide audience, and many have learned the hard lesson that once something is “out there,” you cannot take it back.
Lessons from Kurt Vonnegut Library
“That was before the world’s most dangerous mustache.” I’m touring the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library with its curator Chris Lafave, and he’s showing me a picture of a young, Army-era Kurt Vonnegut. Clean shaven, his signature ‘stache nowhere in sight. The Library, which opened in Indianapolis in 2011, houses items from all stages of Vonnegut’s life. Together the pieces tell the story of the boy from Indianapolis who would become one of America’s favorite authors.
Six Out-There Celebrity Funerals
As early as 1978, Hunter S. Thompson knew how he wanted to go out: blasted from a cannon. When the writer died in 2005, his friend Johnny Depp made it happen. A 153-foot tower was erected at Thompson’s farm in Colorado to house the cannon. Originally designed by Thompson in the 70s, the tower was shaped like a fist with two thumbs clutching a peyote button — a symbol of gonzo journalism.
Lessons Mama Taught Ray Charles, Gene Wilder, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash & Tom Robbins
This Mother’s Day, we’re thanking the moms of Gene Wilder, Dolly Parton, and more for helping their kids discover the art inside of them. Gene Wilder’s mom was his first audience. Instructed by a doctor to get his sick mother chuckling, Wilder tested his funny bone with Mom: “For the first time in my life, I tried consciously to make someone else laugh.
