Ground sizes - the real facts
#8 SCG has been lengthened a couple of times. A few metres when they did the new Trumper Stand near the old hill - you will notice there are a few rows missing from the front of the Churchill Stand. Then another few metres when they did the latest redev down the other end. So it's only about 5m shorter than the G and also about 5m narrower. However mucking around with the length during the redevs has resulted in a non symmetrical ground, a couple of the pockets/flanks are shallower than the others.

#18 Was saying similar things about him last year. We won't have enough superlatives to describe him in a year or two. Terrifying prospect. Both he and Wingard are probably my favourite non-Hawk players.

Under a 20 team league, construct a 10 team final series
Current system is a beauty. Each position is rewarded more the higher you go. Knock out from start to finish is ****ing stupid. Why even have a home and away season? Teams must be rewarded by finishing higher and by playing all 24 weeks, otherwise the top teams will manage their sides a month out leading to a dull final month. If you want 10 (and I think 10 would be a good idea even for 18 teams) do this: Week 1 7 v 10 elim 8 v 9 elim Week 2 onwards Same as it is now.

Most Boring VFL/AFL Player Encounters/Sightings.
#3 Pretty much all boring. I saw Danny Frawley one time in a car park. He walked past and looked at me strangely, I was in the process of tying up a makeshift belt of hay band... I had forgotten a belt. Continuing the car theme, Luke ball drove past me in a car once.. that was intense. Also saw James Hird once in the main street of my hometown. I wasn't even sure it was him. Seemed to short. But it was him.
Who will be the best player in the league in five years from now?
My bet is one of JHF and Reid. Both have shown signs of what they can do, JHF is already doing it semi-regularly, and Reid in his 4th game broke 7 tackles(2nd most in a game, only behind Dusty who had 8 one time) against a reasonably strong Swans midfield.
