A 1-month old Dutch Warmblood colt was presented to the Equine Clinic at Utrecht University (NL) during emergency hours with episodic neurological signs. The neurological signs were first noted after the first day at pasture, at 1 week of age, and included mild ataxia, circling, lip-smacking and biting at the right carpus. During this first visit to the clinic intermittent very mild, but similar, abnormalities were observed at general and neurological clinical examination.
