What was your first job as a journalist?

I was an editorial fellow at Popular Science in the summer of 2013. It was an incredible experience that encouraged me to want more.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes! But not recently. My grandparents had an electric typewriter in the bedroom at their house that I slept in. I loved typing on it.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

#OverlyHonestMethods (It's science news!)

Why did you become a journalist?

Science journalism is the fusion of all of the things I'm passionate about! I love finding amazing stories and connecting people to science.

What's your favorite drink?

Currently I favor an old-fashioned. Old favorites include a well-crafted margarita, mojito, or simply a Jack and coke.
