Lilou Garnier’s Biography

I'm Lilou Garnier, a journalism graduate from the University of Aix-Marseille. Since 2011, I've been carving out a name for myself as an independent journalist. Right out of university, it was a challenging start, but my perseverance and ambition paved the way for a successful career.

I began my tenure with LaProvence.com in May 2012 and am still an integral part of their editorial team today. My primary focus lies in reporting on local news and events. Additionally, I actively assist in streamlining daily editorial tasks.

Between February 2017 and October 2018, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Mediapart.fr team in Marseille. This chapter was pivotal for me, marking the first time I conducted live interviews—a dream of mine since my university days. Briefly, I also contributed to the Culture and Celebrity section.

For a brief spell from June 2014 to January 2015, I worked with Telerama in Paris, penning articles on a wide array of topics, especially culture and lifestyle. However, those eight months made me realize that the bustling streets of Paris weren't for my spontaneous, down-to-earth nature. I decided to part ways with Telerama—a venture that, albeit short, enriched me with invaluable experiences. Soon after, I relocated to the suburbs, renovating an old home where I welcomed my first child.

Speaking of which, for the past seven years, I've been the proud mother to my delightful daughter, Charlotte.

My writing interests are diverse, ranging from celebrity news and gardening to politics and education. I'm ever-curious and have a voracious appetite for learning.

Recently, my budding passion for gardening led me to pursue further education in the field. The birth of Charlotte and ensuring she gets the healthiest, most environmentally-responsible food ignited my zeal for growing fruits and vegetables. I've become somewhat of an expert on plant pests, parasites, and fungi.
