Grouplove + Bully at House of Blues Anaheim — Local Gems CA
Grouplove came to Anaheim on March 6th for their Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me tour. Pulling from their lengthy discography, they took the stage opening with “Close Your Eyes and Count to Ten,” a crowd favorite. The acoustic intro paired with a subtle harmony singing “Can you believe it we’re really here,” captured the audience's anticipation. Bouncing as the band comes in, the room ignited in communal excitement. Currently on tour with Grouplove and opening the show was singer-songwriter, Bully.

Hailing from London, England, the incredibly talented Waterhouse has dropped numerous singles, an album, and her latest EP release, Milk Teeth. Waterhouse has also starred in several movies, including Persuasion and Daliland.

It was the perfect way to end the year just one day before New Year’s Eve. To start the night, The Drums’ frontman, Jonny Pierce, opened the set with ‘You’re The One That Makes Me Happy.’ It was a perfectly intimate moment as we anticipated the more upbeat songs we all know and love.

We patiently (and excitedly) waited for their new album Crybaby since we first learned they were working on new music in 2021. Now we get to say we saw it live, too! Tomberlin Opening for Tegan and Sara was the incredibly charming Tomberlin. Tomberlin had us on an emotional rollercoaster with her hilarious banter and the intimate storytelling in her songs.
