Syria: IDF eliminates individual trying to infiltrate military post Original
(Oct. 5, 2026 / JNS) The Israel Defense Forces said early on Monday that soldiers had eliminated an individual during an attempt to infiltrate a military outpost in the Syrian security zone. No injuries to IDF personnel were reported. “The IDF will continue to operate in the security zone in southern Syria in order to remove any threat to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers,” the statement added.
The Jews who refused to sit down
(Oct. 2, 2026 / JNS) For most of the last 13 centuries, the rule for a Jew in the Arab world came down to two words: sit down. Under the dhimmi system, Jews were tolerated so long as they knew their place. They paid a special tax, stepped aside in the street and never raised a hand to defend themselves against a Muslim. My family’s story runs through Beirut, Cairo and Syria, and every branch of it carries some memory of that bargain.

Attention Is Cheap. Impact Is Not
Under my name on this very blog are four words: “Articles Crafted for Action.” I chose them deliberately. I have never been particularly interested in adding more commentary to a world already drowning in it. If I am going to ask someone to read what I write, I want the words to have somewhere to go. Recently, New York State Senator Sam Sutton presented me with a proclamation recognizing my advocacy and community work. I was deeply grateful for the honor.
The question raised inside the White House that could define America's future - opinion
Last week, I joined roughly two dozen faith leaders, writers, activists, and policy advocates inside the Eisenhower Executive Office Building for a White House Faith Office briefing. As someone who has spent years writing about antisemitism, Israel, and the role faith plays in public life, I expected discussions about religious liberty, faith-based initiatives, and public policy.
The Price of a Follow
The New Town Square: Understanding the Power of Social Media Created by author I recently found myself paying closer attention to something Instagram has displayed for years. While looking through the accounts of several influencers who have built enormous audiences by demonizing Israel, excusing terrorism or recycling antisemitic narratives, I noticed the familiar line beneath their profiles showing which people I know also follow them.

The Jewish reputation is built one human encounter at a time - opinion
We spend a great deal of time worrying about the reputation of the Jewish people. We debate antisemitism, diplomacy, media coverage, public relations, and political strategy. Those conversations matter. But they often overlook where a people’s reputation is formed most consistently. It is not built only in parliaments, newspaper columns, or television studios. It is built in ordinary encounters between ordinary people. History remembers wars, elections, and revolutions. Reputation is built differently.
The Inheritance My Father Never Put in His Will
Shlomo ben Linda during his travels in Istanbul in the early 1960s. There is a kind of inheritance no lawyer can draft and no court can distribute. It is not measured in dollars, deeds, or possessions, nor can it be divided equally among siblings. It is transmitted quietly, through thousands of ordinary moments that seem insignificant at the time. Only years later do you realize that someone else’s values have become your instincts.

How Shabbat became part of Trump's 250th US anniversary celebration - opinion
At the precise moment influential Jewish voices were publicly debating whether Shabbat itself had become obsolete, the US president did something almost politically unimaginable: he formally inserted Shabbat into America’s 250th anniversary celebration. In an official White House proclamation recognizing Jewish American Heritage Month, US President Donald Trump called on Americans to celebrate their “faith and freedom” and “especially on Shabbat to celebrate our 250th year.” Not innovation.

America 250 Just Put Shabbat Back at the Center - Linda Sadacka
Everyone Reported Trump’s Shabbat Proclamation. Few Are Grasping What It Actually Means. When President Donald Trump issued an official White House proclamation encouraging Jewish Americans to observe a national Sabbath in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, Jewish media covered it immediately. The headlines appeared everywhere. The Jerusalem Post. JNS. Jewish Insider. The Times of Israel. Chabad. Community chats. Social media feeds. But I am not sure people are fully grasping it.
Information warfare is shaping the Israel, US war with Iran in real time - opinion
The most dangerous misunderstanding about today’s information environment is the belief that it is merely chaotic. It is structured, it is strategic, and it is unfolding in real time – during an active war. As the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran intensifies, global markets are reacting, energy routes are under threat, and the risk of broader escalation continues to grow. This is not simply a military confrontation. It is a multi-front conflict.

A Passover Seder's lost integrity: Why inviting Zohran Mamdani was a strategic misstep - opinion
ByLINDA ARGALGI SADACKAAPRIL 1, 2026 14:00 The inclusion of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in a Downtown Seder alongside Jewish and Israeli figures reflects a failure of judgment at a moment when clarity is essential. At a time of rising antisemitism and intensifying debates over Israel’s legitimacy, communal platforms cannot afford ambiguity, particularly in settings designed to affirm Jewish identity.
The Oscars and the Comfort of Selective Outrage
Original styled editorial image featuring the author, Linda Argalgi Sadacka, created specifically to accompany this commentary on celebrity activism and cultural responsibility At this year’s Oscars, several celebrities wore symbolic red pins and used acceptance speeches to call for “Free Palestine,” transforming one of the world’s most visible cultural stages into a platform for political messaging. The issue is not that entertainers express political views.
The real scandal behind Zohran Mamdani's Gracie Mansion dinner - Opinion
ByLINDA ARGALGI SADACKAMARCH 15, 2026 00:30 That framing misses the central issue. The problem is not simply that an anti-Israel activist was invited to dinner. The problem is that one of New York City’s most visible civic institutions was used to legitimize a figure whose prominence emerged from a protest movement that turned Jewish students into targets inside an American university.
The Blogs: The Day After the Iranian Regime
Original illustration created by the author to visually represent the geopolitical implications of a post-regime Iran. For forty-five years the Middle East has been organized around one assumption: the Islamic Republic of Iran is permanent. But what if it isn’t? If the regime in Tehran were to fall tomorrow, the entire strategic architecture of the region would change overnight.
Politics of Israeli visibility: Spike Lee, Deni Avdija
ByLINDA ARGALGI SADACKAFEBRUARY 23, 2026 18:30 When Israeli NBA player Deni Avdija delivered a standout performance at the All-Star Game, the night should have belonged to basketball. Instead, it became a cultural flashpoint. As Avdija’s historic showing unfolded, filmmaker Spike Lee appeared in pro-Palestinian attire, inserting geopolitical symbolism into what is meant to be a celebration of athletic excellence. The moment made headlines; what it revealed runs deeper.
Why the West misreads Israel’s confrontation with Iran
Iran’s most effective weapon is not uranium enrichment; it is the West’s reluctance to draw clear distinctions. For decades, the Islamic Republic has pursued a coherent and openly articulated strategy: consolidate authority through repression at home, expand influence through proxies abroad, and advance strategic military capabilities that would alter the regional balance of power. Its leaders have not disguised their hostility toward Israel – they have institutionalized it.

The West is weaponizing immigration - and Jews can recognize the pattern
Continue reading Continue reading Minnesota is not simply a border story. It is what weaponized immigration looks like after it leaves the border and enters the bloodstream of a state: weak oversight, ideological capture, taxpayer-funded corruption, and a civic culture that punishes anyone who points to the pattern. This matters to Jews for a reason history teaches with brutal consistency. When a society begins dissolving its moral confidence and administrative competence, it looks for targets.
The Blogs: This Is Not Immigration. It Is Ideological Capture.
Democracies do not collapse because people move. They erode when ideologies move unchecked into institutions. Western democracies are increasingly misdiagnosing a problem they sense but struggle to name. Political instability, campus radicalization, and growing hostility toward democratic allies are often framed as disputes over immigration, protest culture, or polarization. That framing misses the central issue. What is unfolding is not primarily about population movement.
Antisemitism as a public relations problem
(Dec. 31, 2025 / JNS) Something fundamental has changed in how antisemitism operates in the West. It is more dangerous than open hatred. Antisemitism is no longer treated as a moral emergency. It is treated as a public relations problem. Jews are still being attacked, harassed and intimidated. What has changed is not the violence itself, but how institutions respond to it.

What everyone misread about Trump's warm Zohran Mamdani meeting
Jerusalem Post/Opinion What everyone misread about Trump's warm meeting with Mamdani - opinion Trump’s decision to meet with Mamdani should be understood not as an endorsement but as reconnaissance. US PRESIDENT Donald Trump and New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani speak to members of the media in the Oval Office on Friday.
The woke-Islamist nexus
New York City just elected a self-described Muslim Democratic socialist as its mayor: Zohran Mamdani. His platform, built on LGBTQ rights, rent freezes and “equity economics,” reads like a manifesto of woke progressivism. At first glance, that pairing of religious identity and radical secular politics seems contradictory. It isn’t. It’s the newest example of an ideological alliance quietly forming for years: the partnership between woke progressives and Islamist sympathizers.

An open letter to US President Trump: We must not allow modern-day Trojan horses
US President Donald Trump hosts a bilateral lunch with Hungary Generate Key Takeaways Individuals have entered the United States and used its freedoms as weapons against it. But citizenship should be a covenant of loyalty, not a loophole for subversion. America was never meant to be a social experiment. It was founded as a constitutional republic built on ordered liberty, individual sovereignty, and the belief that freedom must be rooted in responsibility.

The Blogs: New York’s Dystopian Makeover
If you followed Zohran Mamdani’s campaign in New York, you probably noticed the colors first — that hyper-contrasted indigo and orange, a pairing that feels more like a tech start-up than a civic movement. The posters pop but don’t invite warmth. They’re engineered for the algorithm, not the citizen. Even the typography tells a story: thick serif letters with sharp geometric precision — what designers call retro-futurism.
The Blogs: Trojan Horse arrived and it’s in the Big Apple
The replica of the ancient Trojan Horse stands in the city of Cana kale, Turkey, near the historical site of Troy. New York City belongs to the people who build it, protect it, and invest their future here. The question now: Do the people choosing our leadership share that allegiance?
Mizrahi Jews see warning signs in Zohran Mamdani
Jerusalem Post/Opinion Jews from the Middle East know Mamdani is a threat to Israel – opinion When Jews who survived the Middle East say, “Pay attention,” it is not hysteria. It is experienced individuals trying to prevent history from repeating itself.
The Blogs: Manchester is the Alarm: Turn to G-d
Another synagogue. Another Jewish community under siege. Manchester joins the list of cities where Jews are forced to worship behind barricades, under the watchful eyes of heavily armed police. The message is unmistakable: Jewish blood is cheap, Jewish lives are fair game, and the world is growing comfortable with that ugly reality once again. This isn’t a local incident.
The Blogs: From Sinai to the Subway
This week’s Torah portion, Ki Tavo, is not ancient history. It is not a story frozen in parchment. It is prophecy alive and burning: a mirror held up to our own age. The Torah was never meant to be a museum piece. It was meant to confront us, to expose us, to warn us. And if you dare to look into it this week, you see America staring back. Ki Tavo is the parsha of blessings and curses. The blessings are inspiring. But the curses are long, brutal, detailed, and take up most of the oxygen. And why?
The Blogs: Western Fools
The photo of a smiling Gaza boy, “found alive” after being falsely declared killed by Israeli forces, should be the story that finally wakes up the West. But don’t count on it. For decades, Hamas has perfected the art of staging tragedies, recycling photos, and pushing propaganda that the Western press swallows whole. The lie travels around the world before the truth ever catches up and by then, the damage is done. This isn’t just about one boy. It’s about a systematic strategy.
