A Worcestershire care home boss who was convicted of stealing £22,500 from a resident with dementia has informed staff she will be returning to work next week. Reece, aged 23, died in the early hours of February 1 this year after he was attacked at Cordwainer House, in Byfield Road. Emergency services were called to Bretch Hill Farm in Banbury at 1.41pm to reports that a derelict building on the grounds was on fire. It is now believed that the fire was started deliberately and four boys were seen running away from the scene shortly after the fire took hold.
Man seriously assaulted in Banbury
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Banbury. The incident occurred at around 10pm on Thursday (3/10) at the Royal Kebab House in Broad Street. An altercation began inside in which the man, aged 46, was assaulted by up to six youths, being punched and kicked multiple times. The altercation spilled out on to Broad Street. The main offender is described as white, around 18-years-old, 6ft tall and was wearing a black bomber jacket.

The parents of a Banbury teenager killed in a head-on collision in Northamptonshire say they are "utterly broken" after the suspect, a US citizen, claimed diplomatic immunity and left the country. 19 year old Harry Dunn was killed in an accident near American base RAF Croughton on 27 August.

Police were called shortly after 7am this morning (Friday 4th October) following a report of a collision involving a car – a silver BMW X3 – and a lorry on the southbound carriageway, just after junction 20, for Lutterworth. Row continues over Warwickshire and West Mercia Police split
It looks like the Government is going to intervene in the divorce of Warwickshire and West Mercia Police. They've had an alliance for 7 years but the West Mercia force decided it wanted out amid claims it was propping up the smaller force and the split was supposed to happen next week. They now say any attempt at an agreement has been rejected and they're expecting the Home Secretary to get involved in the coming days.
