What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a researcher on the CBC TV show Street Cents.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

I think it means to be curious about how to make the world better and to be relentless in the search for truth.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Research the hell out of your pitch before sending it.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Hanging with my two kids.
