Henry County Board hears concerns about carbon capture project near Galva
CAMBRIDGE — Roughly 30 people attended Thursday's Henry County Board meeting to show their concern about a pending carbon capture project in Galva. Lapis Carbon Solutions, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is proposing putting in a well to store over 725,000 metric tons of carbon at Big River Resources. The company anticipates a final investment decision and construction beginning in 2027. Five Galva residents spoke out against the project, but their words may have been in vain.
