Association between urinary hCG trajectories and the risk of miscarriage in women undergoing embryo transfer: a prospective cohort study
Abstract Objective: To investigate the association between the dynamic trajectories of urinary human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and the risk of early miscarriage after embryo transfer. Methods: In this prospective cohort study conducted in Hebei Maternity Hospital, 207 women undergoing embryo transfer were enrolled. Starting from the 7th day after transfer, urinary hCG levels were quantitatively measured daily using a latex immunochromatography assay.
Comparative efficacy of modified antagonist protocols combining clomiphene citrate or letrozole for ovarian stimulation in patients with normal ovarian reserve
Abstract Background: To compare the efficacy of modified gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocols combining clomiphene citrate (CC) or letrozole (LE) versus a conventional antagonist protocol in patients with normal ovarian reserve, aiming to reduce gonadotropin (Gn) consumption and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) risk. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 565 in-vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) cycles.
Sequential blastocyst transfer improved pregnancy outcomes in patients undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles: who will be the ultimate beneficiary
Abstract Background: Sequential embryo transfer (ET) is a recommended strategy for women with recurrent implantation failure (RIF), but it remains unclear which population may benefit from this strategy. The purpose of this study was to assess the value of sequential blastocyst transfer on pregnancy outcomes in frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles and the indications for sequential blastocyst transfer.
Minimizing the impact of maternal contamination in embryo ploidy assessment using spent culture medium in couples with chromosomal rearrangements couples: algorithms development and validation
Keywords Quantitative maternal contamination Noninvasive chromosome screening for chromosomal structural rearrangement Chromosomal abnormalities Copy number variation Correction Introduction Chromosomal abnormalities are significant contributors to embryo implantation failure and miscarriage (Iwasa et al., 2023, Rabinowitz et al., 2012).
