I'm currently the American University fellow at the Center for Public Integrity. I work on the money in politics team at CPI while getting my master's degree in journalism at American.
My freelance pieces have appeared in The Detroit News, The Washington Post online and more.
Formerly: managing editor of Philanthropy magazine, reporter for the Washington Examiner, editor-in-chief of The Collegian.
While at the Examiner, I wrote a series of stories that inspired the U.S. Secretary of Transportation to demand reform at a local airports agency and that earned me two investigative journalism prizes.
I live in Washington, D.C.
