What was your first job as a journalist?
My first newspaper internship was at the Pasadena Star-News in Pasadena, California. I covered arts & entertainment.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email is best.

Hugh Jackman.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes. I remember writing a book review and drawing some cartoons. I also wrote a few articles.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I was really thrilled to cover the Mars rover landing and write a profile of a fascinating rover driver. The Mars story is ongoing!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
