Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
Reporter at the Wharfedale & Airedale Observer
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, I started work at the death knell end of hot metal and used a typewriter daily
How is social media changing news?
It's making it so anyone thinks they're a journalist/reporter and it's making people lazy. They lift stories from social media without facts

These days, a laptop and the internet via a blog
Who do you wish followed you?
The Daily Mash!
Why did you become a journalist?
Because it's what I've always wanted to do since I was about 13 once I realised I was too short to be a police woman.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Never give up. Start sending in articles about things you're doing at school to your local paper if you have one. If not, set up a blog
