‘We despair’: Examining the role of political despair for collective action and well‐being
1 INTRODUCTION Politics are an important part of people's lives. When something important to us is ‘at stake’ in a political issue or event, we determine its evaluative meaning for us. This evaluative meaning is emotion… [emotions] are the lived experience of politics in people's lives… — Leach (2010, p. 1827, italics added) Recent years have witnessed many dramatic social and political movements and changes.
Do conspiracy beliefs fuel support for reactionary social movements? Effects of misbeliefs on actions to oppose lockdown and to “stop the steal”
Do conspiracy beliefs fuel support for right wing, reactionary forms of collective action (Sternisko et al., 2020)? Anecdotally, examples of the links between conspiracy beliefs and collective action abound. For instance, the European Commission has drawn links between the proliferation of conspiracy theories and the intensification of commitment to right-wing extremist groups (Farinelli, 2021).
In challenging times, Museum of the Year allows our sector to be ambitious and daring
There is something curiously contradictory about the nature of anniversaries. On the one hand, they encourage a swell of activity, and on the other, they afford a considered moment of reflection. It's been 10 years since the launch of Art Fund Museum of the Year.

Stromal IL-33 balances fat stores
Innate and adaptive immune cells are important regulators of adipose tissue homeostasis, dysregulation of which is associated with obesity and metabolic disorders. Fat-dwelling regulatory T (Treg) cells, group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) and anti-inflammatory macrophages are key to keeping inflammation in check and preventing metabolic dysfunction. These cell populations are dependent on IL-33, but it has been unclear which adipose tissue components are the main producers.

In the second instalment of our series on unusual living scenarios, Lucy Bird shares her experience of spending her first year living in Bristol's Catholic Chaplaincy. Results day was suddenly upon me, and lo and behold I had gotten into Bristol! I was very happy and relieved, despite a little disappointment as Durham had been my firm choice.
