Sex scene secrets: is Bridgerton’s intimacy coordinator bringing back the passion?
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Image source: Rico Van de Voorde. Unsplash It is an understanding that intimacy coordinators are now used in sex scenes across the industry, but they’re not only used here. Intimacy coordinators are used whenever a character appears in a state of undress or implied undress, such as when a character is giving birth or, like in Bridgerton (2020), when they appear in corsets. But what do they really do?
Can we live in the moment with smartphones? The daily accessibility of the camera.
I was on the phone to my friend a little while back and she tells me she’d like to get a new phone. I asked her, why, as I was fairly sure it wasn’t that old and it should still be working. It turned out there was nothing wrong with her phone, she just wanted an extra one in case hers stopped working. Her reasoning behind this was that she lives alone and wanted the peace of mind that if anything happened she could always get in touch with someone.

Final Call: low-commitment trips to take before you get a real job
Dublin A return trip to Dublin would only cost you around £35 if you catch it at the right time and no more than £50 for a last minute trip. As this is so close it would be extremely easy to do within one day so you don’t even have to pay for accommodation! Spend the day admiring the beautiful Irish heritage visiting museums and galleries or visit the Jameson distillery and the Guiness storehouse for a different kind of Irish history lesson.
The Final Push: Securing your attendance at the end of the year
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Source: Dom Fou, Unsplash This may be the time where you need to write (and be graded on) a reflective log about your participation throughout the module and how many of us can say we participate amazingly throughout the whole semester? We might try, but it’s never as good as you want it to be.
The death of the public library
Libraries (if we let them) are the backbone of society. They are an accessible place for people from all walks of life. Not only do you have access to such a wide range of books for free, but you also gain access to computers, the internet and a range of groups/sessions which the library puts on. Again, this is all for free! So why do we not utilise such a great invention? Maybe it’s because we don’t know where they are or don’t feel welcome?
Beyond a chore rota: dividing the mental load fairly between you and your flatmates

Well, the first thing to do is ask; even if they don’t want any help and would rather sort everything themselves, it can take a lot of the pressure off if they know you are open and willing to help. But if they do want help then you have to start at the beginning.
Using our spare time wisely: How can we keep motivated?

One way to do this would be to do work when you otherwise would have timetabled hours. It is likely that a lot of the information will be up on canvas and if not then independent research is the way to go.
Battle of the meal deal
The top 5 meal deals which are battling it out are … McDonald’s £5 meal deal, Tesco, Sainsburys, Costa and Co-op. The most basic meal deals available. Starting with the new McDonald’s £5 deal I’d have to say this comes in rather high on value. Despite fast food, Maccies' prices have risen astronomically, however over the last 5 years the added addition of the nuggets really helps make the difference. The ultimate comfort food for the best late-night drunken snack they really fill a hole.
Why has flaking (aka not turning up to something you agreed to) become more common recently?

We care more about how our relationships look than how we feel about the other person.
Small changes to feel safer in your uni house
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Source: Maria Ziegler, Unsplash The number one tip is to make sure you remember to lock and bolt all your windows and doors, whether you are in or not. It’s very important to do this (especially at night) because if it’s left unlocked it becomes very opportunistic. In the same line of thinking, make sure that you don’t leave a door wide open, even if people are moving in and out.
Exercise: Changes to the body and mind
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Source: framepersecC, Pixabay Just getting out for a walk during the day can completely change the way you feel and reset your outlook on life. Of course, something like walking may not show you an immediate change in the body too quickly, although this isn’t to say you won’t be able to see a change if you begin walking over a long period of time.
Keeping in touch with friends from home once you go to uni
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Source: Pixabay I find that it can be hard to always remember to reply to a text, especially if it’s something as simple as a “how are you?”, so one way to keep in contact and stay updated with your friends lives is to schedule a weekly phone call. It doesn’t have to be for very long or the same time every week but it’s nice to know you are both making the effort to catch up and keep in touch with each other.
How I budget for uni life - a detailed breakdown
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Source: Estée Janssens, Unsplash The first thing I would always budget for is rent because there is (unfortunately) no saving on that. Most people’s rent is between £6000-£8500 over the year, and therefore it makes up the most of their expenses. This is unavoidable, and so I always make sure to budget for it using my student loan, as I know for sure how much is coming in from that.
I’m a Celeb - First impressions of the new series
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Image- IMDb (Oti Mabuse has proven popular in camp so far) The first thing that stands out this series is it is the same person doing all the trials, Dean McCullough. Now the question is are his big reactions and over-exaggerated emotions real or just for show? He is obviously playing the game to get more screentime which we can see just from him smuggling in the teabags and managing to tell everyone about it.
Hobby Hub - but make it mental health

Who knows, you could even meet new people there! And if you don't fancy going by yourself you can always bring some friends. Either of these options are effective for getting out of the house and giving a new purpose to the day.
TikTok food trends - do they work?

It involved baking a lump of feta cheese with cherry tomatoes, oil and some spices, then putting it in the oven for half an hour, mixing in some cooked pasta and breaking it all up together.
Sustainability on Campus: What can we do to Reduce our Carbon Footprints?

Actor Spotlight: Sandra Oh
Sign up to our mailing list so you never miss any future updates Image- IMDb Being part long running TV shows allowed her to showcase her different acting talents. For example, in Grey's Anatomy, after the (spoiler alert) plane crash where she lost her shoe and had to hear another character get eaten by wolves she had to show how traumatised she was and as her character went mute for a period of time all this had to be done through just body language.
