3 things I want to learn in 2026

In 2026 there are a few bits of tech I would like to learn. This has been covered a few times by Dev YouTubers and has piqued my interest. It's an open-source workflow automation tool that's fair-code licensed, powerful for no-code/low-code integrations, and self-hostable. n8n sign-up GraphQL has been out for a while, but I want to try it out properly as an upcoming project is using it. Time to go beyond REST and explore efficient data fetching, schemas, and tools like Apollo or Relay.

Looking for a quick read with a few charmingly disturbing twists? “Obscura,” a Gothic graphic novel born from a collaboration between writer Luke Cartwright and artist Lukasz Wnuczek, might be just the thing. Set in Van Diemen’s Land in the late 19th century, Cartwright and Wnuczek’s story follows an isolated man named William Morier whose father — the local undertaker — was ripped away from him in his youth and imprisoned for selling corpses to medical practitioners.
