Differential effects of diet and physical activity interventions in pregnancy to prevent gestational diabetes mellitus and reduce gestational weight gain by level of maternal adiposity: a protocol for an individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis of rand
Discussion This IPD meta-analysis aims to evaluate the differences in effectiveness of weight management interventions based on alternative adiposity measurements in early pregnancy and the effects on GDM and GWG. Results have the potential to influence how weight management interventions in pregnancy are targeted in antenatal care, for the prevention of GDM and reduction of GWG, as it may be beneficial to prioritise intervention delivery based on individual adiposity rather than BMI alone.

Exploration of the costs of accessing health services: data from a longitudinal study of young people in transition from paediatric to adult services
Abstract Background Economic evaluations that include the patient perspective often base their estimates of patient time and travel costs on data collected at a single point in time. This, however, may be inaccurate if the costs of accessing care change substantially over time, as may be the case for young people in transition from paediatric to adult health services.

What is important at the end of life for people with dementia? The views of people with dementia and their carers
Approaching end of life is often a time of vulnerability; this is particularly so for people with dementia and their families where loss of capacity and the ability to communicate, make assessment and shared decision-making difficult. Research has consistently shown that improvements in care and services are required to support better quality and more person-centred care for people with dementia towards and at end of life.
Relative Distributions
Background and Purpose—Analyses of trends in the delivery of time critical treatments typically report the median, but measures of central tendency may ignore important changes for specific patient groups. We considered whether this was an important effect during comparison of onset to treatment (OTT) time between 2 cohorts of patients with stroke receiving intravenous thrombolysis.
