Perspective: The vandals who desecrated Latter-day Saint chapels are wrong
Last week, Latter-day Saint church buildings in the greater Salt Lake City area were vandalized. A meeting house in Orem was ransacked. In Sandy, multiple buildings were defaced, and graffiti was scrawled across the façade of one house of worship, reading: "Predators welcome." We respond: no, they aren't. One of us served as a bishop and stake president, and the other is a survivor of abuse who now works as a clinical therapist helping abuse victims.

More Thoughts on the Capitol Breach
I grew up in the deep south in the 1960’s in a family where I was taught that God loves all of His children equally – black and white, male and female, young and old. As a pre-teen young man I saw the low-quality snowy black and white TV news images of numerous civil rights demonstrations. Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance
Over the past 7 years, I’ve been battling, both Autoimmune Encephalitis and Epilepsy. I’m very grateful to have received comprehensive care, including two brain surgeries, from an amazing team of neurologists at UCSF. I’m very hopeful that what my case has enabled my doctors to discover will ultimately help others, and it’s my goal to pass along all that I’ve been lucky to learn and receive.
Opinion: The Washington Post says the Church of Jesus Christ has billions. Thank goodness
Monday’s Washington Post story about the finances of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has already gotten a lot of attention. We think it deserves more. Not because the topic of church holdings is somehow new — it’s not (Time magazine once ran a cover story titled, “MORMONS, INC.”) — but because the renewed focus on the church’s extensive holdings once again proves that, well, the church actually practices what it preaches regarding provident living and self-reliance.
