Effect of Mercerization and Fibre Loading on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Polyester/Sisal Fibre Composites
The present work aims to study the effect of untreated sisal fibre and the influence of fibre treatment on polyester-based composites. Four categories of composites are prepared, comprising the first category with untreated fibre (category A) and the other three categories with sodium hydroxide-treated fibre. The concentrations used are 1 mole (category B), 2 moles (category C) and 3 moles (category D).

Curvatures on Homogeneous Generalized Matsumoto Space
Abstract : The curvature characteristics of particular classes of Finsler spaces, such as homogeneous Finsler spaces, are one of the major issues in Finsler geometry. In this paper, we have obtained the expression for S-curvature in homogeneous Finsler space with a generalized Matsumoto metric and demonstrated that the homogeneous generalized Matsumoto space with isotropic S-curvature has to vanish the S-curvature.
AWARENESS OF LIPID GUIDELINE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HIGH-RISK PATIENTS AMONGST PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS IN CANADA
Lipid guidelines for cardiovascular (CV) risk reduction have evolved in recent years, particularly since the introduction of PCSK9 inhibitors. In many jurisdictions, CV risk management is provided by primary care physicians (PCPs). We surveyed Canadian PCPs regarding their awareness and implementation of the 2021 Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) lipid guideline recommendations for patients following an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or for those with diabetes but without CV disease.
Initial results from time-resolved LaBr based hard x-ray spectrometer for ADITYA-U tokamak
I. INTRODUCTION Runaway electrons (REs) are a substantial threat to any tokamak plasma due to the energy they carry. The RE current is also a matter of concern for any successful tokamak operations.1–31. B. N. Breizman, P. Aleynikov, E. M. Hollmann, and M. Lehnen, Nucl. Laser processing of sapphire and fabrication of diffractive optical elements
Abstract Sapphire is a high-temperature optical material with a melting temperature of over 2000ºC, high strength, good thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion, and it exhibits chemical inertness and is optically transparent over a wavelength range of 0.15 µm to 5.5 µm.
M243 DUPILUMAB DECREASES FOOD-SPECIFIC IGE IN SEVERE ECZEMA AND FOOD ALLERGY
Dupilumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits IL-4 and IL-13 signaling by targeting the IL-4 receptor a-subunit and is currently approved for treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), asthma, and nasal polyposis. Currently, a single case report describes tolerance to foods which previously caused anaphylaxis after starting dupilumab treatment. However, to our knowledge the effect of dupilumab on serologic markers of FA has not been described.
M172 DELAYED PRESSURE URTICARIA MASQUERADING AS CHRONIC IDIOPATHIC URTICARIA
Introduction Delayed pressure urticaria (DPU) presents with cutaneous erythema and edema typically manifesting 4-6 hours after a sustained pressure stimulus. In approximately 40% of cases, DPU may co-exist with chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU), thus masking symptoms. As DPU can severely impact quality of life and treatment is often refractory to antihistamines, recognizing the diagnosis is important to avoid treatment delays.
PHYSICIAN PERSPECTIVES ON THE DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF HEART FAILURE WITH PRESERVED EJECTION FRACTION
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is prevalent with high morbidity and mortality. Compared to heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), HFpEF is more difficult to diagnose and lacks in evidence-based treatments. This survey assesses the perceptions of cardiologists, internists and primary care physicians (PCP) regarding HFpEF diagnosis and management.

TOLL-LIKE RECEPTOR 3 (TLR3) DYSFUNCTION IN A CHILD WITH VACTERL ASSOCIATION
A 10-month-old, ex 34-week female with VACTERL association without tracheo-esophageal fistula (TEF) presented with multiple PCR-confirmed respiratory illnesses including: RSV, influenza B, rhinovirus/enterovirus, and Bordetella pertussis, requiring prolonged intubation. IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE, diphtheria/tetanus and pneumococcal titers, lymphocyte enumeration, and mitogen/antigen proliferation were normal.
THE HIGH PREVALENCE OF FAMILIAL HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIA IN A POPULATION OF ASCVD PATIENTS WITH LDL-C ABOVE TARGET: AN ANALYSIS FROM THE REACT REGISTRY
To view the full text, please login as a subscribed user or purchase a subscription. Click here to view the full text on ScienceDirect. Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) prevalence is 1/250 in the general population and 1/125 in ASCVD patients, yet only a minority of patients are formally diagnosed. FH rises significantly with baseline LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels above 5 mmol/L.

Urinary cytology and the Paris system for reporting urinary cytology: Implications for urological management
By reducing the rate of indeterminate (atypical) diagnoses and standardising reporting terminology, The Paris System for Reporting Urine Cytology helps focus the application of cytology towards the detection primarily of high‐grade urothelial carcinoma. We present a urology‐based perspective of how the new system has influenced clinical decision‐making.

P335 Gluten-specific IGG4 is elevated in children with eosinophilic esophagitis compared to an unselected community cohort
To view the full text, please login as a subscribed user or purchase a subscription. Click here to view the full text on ScienceDirect. Traditional allergy testing is not consistently helpful in predicting causal foods in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a food-driven inflammatory disease, though milk and wheat are the most common triggers. Food-specific IgG4 is abundant in adults with EoE and we have recently reported that IgG4 to milk proteins are elevated in children with EoE.
